3 Ways to Improve Your Networking Skills

Posted on July 13, 2017 by

Personal growth. Financial Growth. Career Growth. These things all boil down to one thing: networking skills. Today, personal improvement is not just limited to increasing intelligence or having good personal relationships. Personal improvement involves having good social networking skills.

No man is an island, they said. So as social beings, we need to interact and establish relationships with other people regardless of our purpose. At The MVET Way, a part of our program is centered into how to act in social affairs and how to establish yourself in social events. We want everyone to reach their goals without sacrificing their social identity.

Here are some helpful tips on how to improve your social networking skills:

  1. Be proactive anytime, anywhere

If we are aspiring speakers, trainers or businessmen, we have to carry ourselves well especially in social events well. When we are at a gathering or we are simply having coffee with our colleagues, we must know what to do. Regardless whether you want to propose a business plan or you just want to convince them to invest in stock market, be proactive.

Being proactive means that you do not wait for people to come to you to social events just to entertain you. You get involved with the people around you. You can even talk to as many people as possible. It does not really need to be business related. You can even start a small conversation and let things go from there.

  2. Establish your credibility

If you plan on making your mark in whatever career you choose, you must first establish your credibility. By this, we mean that you should be honest and sincere in whatever negotiation that you enter into. Do not do things just solely because you want to earn or you want to get a favor from someone.

If you decide to have your own business, make sure that you deliver quality goods and you deliver it on time. You have to make a good impression to your clients and continue improving your services. In this manner, you get to keep your clients and new customers will come to you due to impressive reviews. This is what we want to inculcate to the aspirants of today at The MVET Way.

  3. Be visible online

The most effective way of networking is through the internet. You build a Facebook profile or join a LinkedIn account can easily connect you to people. However, not everyone is successful in online networking because of the content of their social media posts. This is what you should be mindful of. You need to have good content in your social media accounts and you should be visible to the netizens most of the time.

For more helpful tips about networking, ask our coaches and trainers at The MVET Way. You can contact us at www.mycemn.com or call us at 424-277-0572.
