Barry Menser grew up in a semi-rural area outside St. Louis, Missouri and knows what it’s like to live in humble housing with no indoor facilities or running water. He dreamed of learning how to improve his situation and to, more importantly, help others in challenging situations whether it be housing, employment. health or financial.
After graduating from college with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and deciding not to enter the ministry. he became a counselor with the Indiana State Employment Service specializing in youth training and employment. He was recruited by the City of Gary Indiana to head up a project to provide full training. education. work experience and health care services to youth ages 16 and older.
Barry arrived in California in 1972 and initially worked for the County of Orange under the County Administrator’s office working as a Co-coordinator for the Office of Economic Development working with local and federal resources to bring infrastructure to communities which in turn attracted businesses and business complexes which provided jobs to neglected communities.
Over the years Barry had the opportunity to be mentored by Ken Caines and learned to provide resources and programs to communities where there were critical needs and great people resources just needing assistance in learning where to tap into vital resources. Over the years both in the public sector and as an entrepreneur Barry has had the opportunity to work within the financial world and at one time personally assisted thousands of clients save and invest over $35,000,000 for retirement. He left that environment and joined forces with Mr. C and is now the COO of DreamWsion Nation (DVN) and works tirelessly to provide financial education, knowledge and funding skills to small businesses and communities that are often overlooked by the major institutions.
