For All the Women Out There: Be Different and Make a Difference
Ladies are that important in our society. They should not just be stuck at home and dependent on their husbands. They need to be out here in the workforce and it is our duty to empower them in the least amount of ways that we can.
How do we empower our women? Let us take a look at and discuss 4 of the 7 ways World Vision has in store for us.
- Fight human trafficking
Human trafficking is a huge issue in our world today. Imagine if you are in the situation of those people who were victims of such heinous act. Some individuals were sold for the sake of sex, cheap or free labor or organ extraction.
There is nothing good about human trafficking regardless of the gender of the person. It can affect a person’s mind and emotions which will then damage their life. Female victims are more attractive to human traffickers.
Help fight human trafficking by supporting the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. You can do so by contacting your senators to pressure them to help end this practice. The bill could not only save lives here in the U.S. but also around the world.
- Mentor a girl
In order to survive in the society, we all need essential skills such as reading and writing. But due to circumstances, girls are unable to be taught such skills. You can do a lot of things in order to change the life of a girl. Be an influence to their lives.
You can volunteer to become a tutor or mentor to unfortunate youngsters in your community. Reach out to those who are victims of abuse. Do not ignore to report to authorities if you know a certain girl is abused by her parents, relatives or guardians.
- Encourage women to create a business
Aside from employment, having a business can change your standard of living. It helps the family gain even more money so that they can buy for their needs. Not only will you be able to buy the basic needs your family needs but you can also purchase the items you want.
To help women stand on their own, THE MVET WAY helps women by giving them the privilege provide for their family. We believe that men are not the only ones capable of turning the family income around.
Providing opportunities for women to be pioneers in the business world does not only involve loaning money but also includes educating these individuals to be successful in their business ventures.
It is not too late to start our crusade for girl love. Let us end the stereotypes and prejudices that lower the way we look at women. You can start by telling and expressing your love and care to the women of your lives. Tell them that they matter to you so that they will be inspired to walk in the path that will lead them to success and happiness.
